KX Quarterly

KX Quarterly is a neighbourhood newspaper highlighting the different attractions in the area, mainly within the Coal Drops Yard. The newspaper reflects the modern vibe and spirit of the location.

I was the layout designer for this issue during my internship at The Crown & Co. The design is current and fun, using a tight grid with high contrast between big and small type to create interesting spreads. Striking a balance between tradition and modernity, just as the Coal Drops Yard does in the way it occupies the space.
